Australian Migration Planning Standards 2022 - 2023

 Australian Migration Planning Standards 2022 - 2023:

Allocations raised to Permanent Independent, State Nominated and Regional Visas in the next financial year. We are back to pre-epidemic levels!

What is a Government Budget and Planning Standards?

The Australian Financial Year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. Every May, Government announces the State Budget, which is the next financial plan.

It is also the announcement of immigration planning, which includes the number of permanent visas that will be allocated for the current financial year (planning levels!).

This is because everyone who obtains a permanent visa in Australia can access social services, such as Medicare, the public education system, and other government benefits (natural, cost-effective, and all are included in the Federal Budget).

During the epidemic, immigration numbers in Australia were greatly reduced, especially with the closure of borders for about 2 years. In 2022 and 2023, the Government has announced that the total number of visas will return to pre-epidemic levels!

There will be some redistribution between all visa categories. Skilled broadcasting visas will account for 70% of the program (and 109,900 locations), while family visas will match the remaining 30% (and 47,000 locations).

The table below shows how many visa zones for each category compared to the numbers for the previous (current) financial year:

If you apply for one of these visas with an increased share for the next financial year, it may mean that your application may be processed immediately.

However, it is important to note that in some streams, such as subclass 189, although there has been an increase in numbers since 2021, planning levels are not the same as before. It will still be difficult for people to get an invitation to apply for a Subclass 189 visa as there are too many people in line and there are not enough places to invite everyone.

That is why it is so important to have a B plan designed by an experienced professional when it comes to immigrant routes. We will look at your real chances of being invited and suggest other ways to find your permanent residence. Contact us to check your issue.

In addition, the Government has already announced that the 2024 and 2025 visa numbers will go up significantly. The government understands and recognizes that immigrants are an important part of the economic recovery in this epidemic.
